Cash Flow: Help with financing and finances
• Training sessions for loan qualification, public contracting opportunities and CPA help about accounting questions are provided by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE). SCORE also provides workshops to help people start or expand businesses, improve marketing and sales programs, and set up e-businesses. • Loan programs are available to help qualified businesses qualify for start-up funds, business expansion and financial restructuring through the King County Community Capital Development program. 206-324-4330.
• The King County Industrial Revenue Bonds program provides low interest tax exempt loans to help with construction costs and acquisition of manufacturing equipment. 206-205-0713.
• The Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development offers a Business Finance Unit that provides technical and financing services to small and medium-sized businesses engaged in qualified start-up and expansion projects. 206-256-6112.
• The Cascadia Revolving Fund provides loans and technical assistance to entrepreneurs and community organizations unable to secure more traditional financing. 206-447-9226.
• Empowerment Zone Sales Tax Deferral - This sales tax deferral program is available for new or remodeled buildings and/or equipment used in manufacturing or research and development activities in community empowerment zones.
