Bike Battle in Frisco

Seattle has its share of political
disagreements over bicycles. But the Emerald City has not seen the type of
battle now underway in San Francisco where a single activist has stalled
city efforts to implement a new bicycle master plan.
His argument?
Urban bicycling is bad for the environment. Rob Anderson sued the city for
failing to prepare an environmental review for its bicycle development
plan, arguing that cyclists increase air pollution by causing traffic
jams. In 2006, a California Superior Court judge ordered that the bike
plan be put on hold while the city prepared an environmental
assessment.
Cyclists are not pleased. The environmental review is
supposed to be published later this fall. You can read a blow-by-blow
account in a Wall Street Journal article now posted in the
Seattle Industry News Service where the two sides say things about
each other we would not care to repeat.

through South Park, 14th Ave S, during the next couple of weeks. During
this time work will be done in the center lane of 14th Ave S, there will
be no on-street parking and left turns will be limited.
After this

the night work schedule; 6pm-6am. Closures will limit traffic to one

South of S Spokane St -
work was conducted last week for the section from S Hudson to S Spokane St
