LINK LIGHT RAIL PARKING PLAN IN
SODO
A MESSAGE FROM SDOT -
To ensure that on-street parking spaces used by businesses and
residents are not filled by commuters, SDOT and Sound Transit started
working with neighborhoods in April 2008 to design parking regulations,
such as time limits, restricted parking zones, and load zones around each
station.
NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP. SDOT and Sound Transit are asking
for your input to make sure that effective parking plans are in place
before light rail trains begin carrying passengers next year, July 2009.
Please begin by looking at the parking management proposal for
your neighborhood station area (attached pdf) and either:
1) send an
email to lightrailparking@seattle.gov with comments/questions/approval,
2) complete the short, on-line questionnaire (Link to the
questionnaire: http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/survey-intro.zgi?p=WEB228KR88SGLG)
3) attend the SODO Open House on Thursday, January 22nd - Mezza Cafe,
Starbucks Corporate Building, Floor 3, 2401 S Utah St/S Lander St from 10
am - 12 pm, or
4) call 206.684.8186 to leave a message about the
proposal.
All of the above information (plus more!) can be found at

Thank you for your participation and your interest in making your
community a better place to live, work, and visit.
